Cazalena
Cassia, affectionately also known as “Schnitzel” was imported in 2023 from Olympian Fouaad Mirza in Germany with the help of Pegazon Horses. Foaled in 2018 out of proven Westphalian jumper lines, she combines effortless scope with striking gaits that make her a standout in every phase.
Ashley has bought Cassia along slowly and thoughtfully, working with the guidance of New Zealand team rider Monica Spencer and U.S. Team Rider Meghan O’Donoghue. This careful production has set her up for success at the FEI 1* level, where she has already collected multiple top finishes.
Notable results include a strong 7th place finish at The Event at Terranova – where she led after dressage at her first international start – and a 4th place finish at the Maryland Horse Trials in July, where she was one of only three horses to complete on her dressage score.
With her scope and talent, Cassia shows all the qualities of a top-level event horse. Ashley is eager to continuing producing this exciting young mare and developing the full extent of her potential.
