Bellisario Royale
Otherwise known as “Rio”, he was imported in the summer of 2025 from Germany with the help of Pegazon Horses. Foaled in 2020 out of proven Westphalian jumper lines, Rio combines effortless scope expressive gaits, and a wonderful temperament on the ground – already making him a barn favorite.
Ashley has bought Rio along slowly and thoughtfully, working with the guidance of New Zealand team rider Monica Spencer and U.S. Team Rider Meghan O’Donoghue. With their support, Rio has already been out to a handful of events and is beginning to understand life as a U.S. event horse.
With his natural scope and talent, Rio is already showing all the qualities of a top-level event prospect. Ashley is excited to continue producing this promising young horse and developing his full potential.
